Project templates
When a template helps
Project templates suit recurring processes: customer onboarding, website projects or regular publications. They provide typical tasks and settings so you do not have to build every project from scratch.
Prepare a template
Open Project templates in the navigation or the template management area in a tenant. Create a template with a clear name and add the required task templates.
Describe the expected result in each task. Check assignments, statuses, tags and date offsets so the template remains useful for new projects.
Create a project from a template
Open Projects and select the desired template in the create-from-template function. Fill in the project details shown and create the project.
Then check the new project board: do the tasks, responsibilities and dates suit this particular initiative? A template provides a starting point; the actual planning remains specific to the project.
Maintain templates
Improve the template after completed projects: remove outdated steps and add recurring omissions. Check existing projects separately when changing a template; do not assume changes will be applied retroactively.
